A One of a Kind Holiday Light Display in Frisco,TX

How It All Began

The Burkman Family Holiday Home all started with Jen and Corey’s oldest son Alex. At a young age, Alex had a fascination with lights and sound and was disassembling and reassembling electronics at age two. In preschool he was diagnosed with Autism and his love for Christmas lights and anything electrical continued through the years.

At nine years old, Alex put together his very first holiday light display with a little help from his family. Mom designs the displays and hot glues over 5000 lights, Grandpa (aka Santa) is the General Contractor, brother is the photographer and parking patrol elf, and dad helps out wherever he is needed. Alex oversees it all and is always the first one to hit the clearance section right after the holidays in search of decor and lights for the following year.

The Burkman’s display began with 500 lights and has since grown to almost 65,000 lights! Each year they have added more interactive pieces like a gingerbread house kids can walk through, a toy train station, and North Pole Post Office. There are selfie stations, family photo stations, and even a dog selfie station.

If you are lucky, you can even snag a photo with Santa! On the weekends they serve hot chocolate and have handed out coloring books and candy canes to the kids.
