Even though the wedding drama can be inevitable, trust me, the day-of none of it will matter. I remember having one of my bridesmaids give me trouble and that day something came over me. None of it bothered me. So don’t forget to enjoy every moment. Remember: it’s your day. You and your future spouse. Here’s How to Make Your Dallas Wedding Magical This Year:
15 Things You Can Do To Have Peace of Mind For Your Dallas Wedding
Follow these steps the day before your wedding in DFW so you can get hitched with things going off without a hitch.
What to Do the Day Before Your Dallas Wedding
Eat a nice light meal the night-of
You don’t want to be bloated the following day. So be sure to eat something that’s delicious, healthy and won’t upset your stomach.
Get a massage early in the morning
This is such a great way to relax after months of planning your wedding. Treat yourself! Get a massage or couples massage in the morning, so you’re able to soak it in before finishing up last minute prep — like getting your hair done.
Make sure to give the assigned person money or anything vendors will need
For me, my person was my mom. I gave her a list of vendors that needed to be paid, and the money to pay them. That gave me so much peace of mind.
Assign someone the marriage license
My person was my dad for this one. He gave the minister marrying us the marriage license. Our minister then mailed it in for us and when we got back from our honeymoon, it was already back in our hands and we were legally married! It was the greatest feeling.

Pack your bags for the necessary things you’ll need tomorrow
If there’s even a question about if you’ll need something or not, pack it! What should you pack? Here are a couple of suggestions:
- Hairbrush
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Perfume
- Moisturizer
- Phone charger
- Snacks and water
- Wedding shoes and accessories
- Bridal party gifts
- Wedding rings
- Vows and speeches
- Pen and paper
- Hair accessories
- Mini steamer
- Emergency Kit — like this one.
- Undergarments for your wedding dress
Style your hair
What I did is I got a blowout for my wedding rehearsal. My hairstylist recommended second-day hair and that’s exactly what she got! It was also a lot easier to style since I have extremely curly hair. So a blowout gave her a nice canvas to start with. I went to DryBar for mine.
Get your nails done
If you haven’t gotten your nails done yet, today’s a great day to relax and pamper yourself. I got my nails done earlier in the week, only because I didn’t have enough time the day before to get my nails done. Have a style in mind, even go a couple of weeks before and request the same technician, so you know you’ll like what you’re getting before your wedding day. Check out these gorgeous wedding nails.
Lay out your dress and accessories
I highly suggest setting out your wedding dress, packing your shoes and all of your accessories. So the next morning you know everything is ready.
Nighttime skincare routine
Don’t forget about your skincare routines! Stick with the tried and true, holy grail products you’ve been using.
Get a good night sleep
Being well-rested will raise your mood the following day. If you’re having an evening wedding and reception, you’re probably going to be up pretty late, so getting a good night’s rest is crucial.
What to Do the Day Of Your Dallas Wedding
It’s THE big day! So much excitement will be rushing through you. Remember to breathe and take it all in. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Morning skincare routine
Keep going with your daily morning routine. Your skin will thank you and for a day filled with so many emotions, it’s good to have a daily routine you can count on. Trust me, you don’t know what all will happen that day, and the only thing that matters is that at the end of the day you’re married to your soulmate.
Wedding prep attire
Do you have cute PJ’s or day-of wedding robes you’re going to wear? Be sure to slip into those.
Eat breakfast
Don’t forget to eat! Something light and filling. You don’t want to have a grumbling stomach but you also don’t want to be bloated. Reminder: drink water.
Enjoy your time with the bridal party
Revel in all the time you have with your bridal party and if you’re giving them bridal gifts, make sure to remember to hand those out or assign that to someone in the group.
Stop planning — just take time to soak in every moment
Time to relish at the moment. Don’t plan anything this day. Be there, meditate, take it all in.
