Take a trip to the Village of Hillside for some shopping and then take a break at this indoor fountain. Children 48″ and shorter are allowed to play and must be wearing a bathing suit and rubber shoes. The fountain is open daily from 9 am to 10 pm and closes during bad weather.
Colleyville
McPherson Park Splash Pad, 240 W. McDonwell School Road
McPherson Park features a playground, picnic and restroom facilities, splashpad, wind sculptures, open play areas, a hike and bike trail, a wildflower area, tree farm, and renovated Rock House. The park sits on land that formerly housed one of the major dairy farms in Colleyville. A renovated dairy barn features photos and replicas of an actual milking operation. While the former Dunn/Tirk log barn, built in the late 1800’s, lets visitors peek into the past by raising the shutter openings on either of the barns two primary pens. This barn is one of the few existing log structures remaining in Tarrant County. Open daily through the end of September from 10am–8pm.
Coppell
Main Street Interactive Fountain, 786 W. Main Street
Bring the kids’ swimsuits! The Main Street Fountain is the perfect place to cool off as the days get warmer, plus the fountain is located next to the Farmers Market Pavilion and playground when you visit the farmers market in Old Town Coppell. Saturdays 8am–9pm or Sunday–Friday from 9am–9pm.

No matter how hot it is outside this water feature provides an entertaining way for people of all ages to keep cool. South Euless Park’s splash pad features touch-activated and timed water works, such as a raining water bucket, spray poles and geysers. The Frog Pond Water Park is an affordable, seasonal aquatics facility for swimmers of all ages and abilities. There are seasonal memberships and daily admissions ($5-$8 per person). What’s even cooler is that this splash pad is also the location of an amazing community-built playground, Fort Wildflower. Some of the super cool features at Heritage Springs Splash Pad includes a 2,000 square food shaded splash pad, shaded seating areas, 14 unique water features, a separate area for toddlers, plus it’s all secured by a fence with a gate so sneaky ones don’t escape. All this amazing-ness is free! Open Daily from 9am to 8pm, May 1 through September 30.
Fort Worth
Sundance Square Plaza Fountains, 420 Main Street
Come for shopping and stay for live entertainment when you plan your next trip to Sundance Square Plaza Fountains. Kids will love splashing in the water fountains from 2pm to 6pm Monday through Friday, and 1pm to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. The fountains are turned on and can be viewed during all hours of operation.
Sycamore Sprayground, 2525 E Rosedale Street
When the kids aren’t ready for the pool, but they need a place to cool off, head over to the spray ground at Sycamore Community Center. Proper swimwear is required for those playing at the spray grounds. This splash pad in Fort Worth is open from 12 noon to 7 pm every day, starting Memorial Day Weekend. They close for the season after Labor Day. There are also nearby walking trails, a playground, and, although not fabulous, there are porta potties when you need to take a break.
Frisco
Frisco Commons Spray Park, 8000 McKinney Road
Take the kids to this super fun Frisco spray park this summer! The spray grounds at Frisco Commons, which run on a recycled water system, are open 8am–8pm daily mid-May through September. There’s even a large pavilion with restrooms and two smaller shade structures with picnic tables.
Shepherd’s Glen, 12012 Shepherds Hill Drive
The spray park is one of many features included in this 13 acre neighborhood park. To activate the spray features, touch the sensor located at the top of a blue pillar on the western portion of the splash pad. Please note, this neighborhood park does have a picnic pavilion but does not have a restroom facility. Open daily mid-May through September from 8am-8pm.
J.R. Newman Spray Park, 8211 Twin Falls Drive
Open mid-May through September, the spray park is one of many elements located within this neighborhood park. The park’s farming and barn theme capture the heritage of the Newman Family which once owned the property. To activate the spray features, touch the sensor located at the top of a blue pillar on the southern portion of the splash pad. Please note that while this is a great park on the west side of Frisco, the neighborhood park does have a picnic pavilion but does not have a restroom facility.

Whites Branch Park is a 20 acre park that features two playgrounds, a water sprayground and a picnic pavilion (swimwear required). The sprayground utilizes a recycling water system that is also used for irrigation of the park grounds. The trail connects with Buffalo Ridge Park to the south. The sprayground operates between the weekends of Memorial Day and Labor Day and is open from 10am to 8pm daily.
Highland Village
Doubletree Ranch Park Splash Pad, 310 Highland Village Road
Kids and parents alike are going to love Doubletree Ranch Park, where you can walk almost a mile of trails, enjoy a family picnic at the pavilion, and then cool off by playing in the splash pad. Little Elm
Little Elm Beach, 701 W. Eldorado Parkway
Little Elm Park is located on Lake Lewisville in Little Elm, Texas. Located along the western shoreline of Little Elm Park is Little Elm Beach. The public swim beach provides swimmers a safe, enclosed sand beach area that does not allow boat traffic. You’ll also find sand volleyball and a playground at this park. The beach is an open sand, family-friendly play area and the Town of Little Elm requests users to follow common and sense and posted rules. Although the beach is free, there is a $10 parking fee.
McKinney
Ash Woods Park, 10301 John F. Kennedy Blvd.
Bring the kids to cool off this summer at Ash Woods Park splash pad in McKinney. But don’t stay too long because there’s no restrooms.

Open daily end of May through mid-August, then on the weekends through September. Cost is between $15 and $25 per person, short people have an advantage here and will pay less, as will North Richland Hills residents who get discounted pricing to NRH20.
Prosper
Frontier Park Spray Park, 1551 Frontier Parkway
Frontier Park is home to a large sports complex and the interactive community-built Windmill Playground. Near the playground is a very simple spray park with cooling water features to play in. Open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Richardson
Galatyn Park Urban Center, 2351 Performance Drive
Galatyn Park Urban Center is a mixed-use public space showcasing local festivals and fairs. It is also the home of the Charles W. Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts. Hickory Bridge Sprayground features interactive sprayers and tipping water buckets. To activate the sprayground, press the top of the white cylinder with the black rounded top and start playing. Open daily, 8am to 9pm.

The playground at Bicentennial Park, which opened in 2015, is designed to look like a big dragon. Kids will love splashing around by the massive dragon’s head, skip in the water fountains and play under the small spraying archways. Afterward, take sopping-wet little ones to the adjacent playground’s swings, slides, and zip lines to let them air dry.
The Colony
The Colony Aquatic Park, 5580 N Colony Boulevard
The Colony Aquatic Park Is a city-owned facility with a heated Indoor Pool, Outdoor Leisure Lagoon, and shade covered Wading Pool. There’s even an interactive Splash Zone for preschoolers. This is an affordable water park-like option for The Colony residents costing $3-$4 depending on age. Non-residents can expect to pay double.

Wild, Wet and Wonderful! This water park is the best spot in town for a preschool party. Hydro Blasters spray, Geysers bubble and Buckets tumble with the twist, pull and push of little hands.
Leisure Lagoon, 5580 N Colony Boulevard
Relax in the sumptuous surroundings of a shallow water play pool and waterfall. This pool supports the best span of ages, with only 1½-foot depth around the waterfall and 4½-foot around the basketball goal. Lots of shaded eating areas make it perfect for family reunions and non-profit groups.
Waxahachie
George Brown Plaza Splash Pad, 209 N. Jackson Street
Come cool off in Waxahachie’s newest park addition. The splash pad is located in downtown Waxahachie behind The College Street Pub on Jackson Street.
Weatherford
Love Street Park, 309 Love St.
Love Street Park, similar to Cherry Park, boasts one of the newest and best playgrounds in Weatherford, Texas! The playground has 3 separate age appropriate structures, along with 2 free-standing swing sets. Love Street Park is the host of one of the City’s two Splash Pads. Open May through September, summer hours being 9am to 8pm.
Cherry Park, 300 S. Alamo St.
Cherry Park is one of the most popular parks in the City of Weatherford, partially because of its location in the heart of the City. The splash pad is located within the park gates. Cherry Park truly contains something for everyone of all ages. There’s even a small community lake on-site that Texas State Parks and Wildlife stocks yearly so bring your fishing pole! The park is open year-round, the splash pad is open May through September, summer hours are 9am to 8pm. The public pool is $4 per person.
