Fall is almost here and I’m so ready for sweater weather, changing leaves, pumpkin-spice everything, Halloween movie nights and of course — fall festivals! I love going to all the events around the area. Lots of them are free and some are paid, but each festival is worth the visit.

Plano Balloon Festival is a family affair! If you’re like me, you have probably only seen air balloons in movies and TV shows. This festival is the best opportunity to see one IRL. Not only will there be entertainment, food, marathons, but there’s also the Kid’s Fun Zone. It’s great for children of all ages, the fun zone includes obstacle courses, inflatable slides and more. Lewisville Western Days

Two days, five stages, and western-themed activities that the whole family will love! Not only is the Josh Abbott Band is heading this year’s Lewisville Western Days, but there’s a lineup jam-packed with talented musicians, parades, and fun activities for the whole family.

Who doesn’t love the State Fair of Texas? It’s a Texan rite of passage. I’ve attended the State Fair almost every year and each year I go, I always make new memories and there’s always a new treat to try. My family and I always go to the petting zoo, go on at least one ride, and eat one corny dog. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely a must. At least once in your life! Get tickets here.
