Dallas is the Rudest City in Texas

Business Insider recently conducted a survey in October and November asking over 2,000 Americans who they thought were the five rudest cities in the United States. Participants chose cities from out of the 50 largest cities in the nation.

Dallas ranked #14 on the Top 50 Rudest list with 6.9% of respondents claiming this North Texas city was the rudest in the country.

In case your wondering, Fort Worth didn’t even make it on the list.

San Antonio was named one of the least rude cities in Texas coming in with 2.3% of the vote. Must be nice being #38.

The rudest city in America? New York City.

New York City gets to claim the title of rudest city in the United States getting over 34.3% of the vote. For once, it’s good not to be #1.

But it’s nothing new. Manhattan historian Michael Miscione told The New York Times in 2011 that New Yorkers have been considered rude since the 1700s.

The survey concedes that stereotypes and even sports rivalries (the survey was taken in October and November) likely skewed the results.
