Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind Exhibition

Come face-to-face with the authentic fossils of ancient humans when you visit the world-exclusive exhibit of Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see actual fossils (not casts) that are from up to 1.97 million years ago.

The fossils were named by National Geographic and Smithsonian Magazine as top discoveries of the last decade.

Read all about the Origins exhibit here. This is your very LAST CHANCE to see these fossils before they return to South Africa. These fossils will likely never be shown outside South Africa again.

Live Science Shows at the Perot Museum this Spring Break in Dallas

NEW CaveSim

Make sure you catch the NEW CaveSim, a highly realistic artificial cave that teaches STEM concepts, real-life caving techniques, and cave environment conservation through a 60-foot, multi-level passage featuring interactive electronic formations, fauna and artifacts.

In the cave, a computer senses which formations get “damaged” during the excursion as participants vie for “most careful caver” in a fun challenge for kids and adults.

Participants will be provided a helmet, headlamp, rope safety lessons before being invited to explore 60’ of cave filled artificial stalactites and stalagmites. This experience is located outside on the Plaza.

Tickets for CaveSim can be purchased online or on-site at ticketing kiosks.

Ideal for ages 5 and older. Check the Perot Museum website for dates and times.

The Perot Museum will open an hour early from March 7-22 with special member hours each day.
