TRAINS AT NORTHPARK CENTER – DALLAS

Great holiday volunteering in Dallas idea!

For over 30 years now, the Trains at NorthPark have been delighting the kids and adults during the holiday season. This incredible display includes 1600 feet of track rolling from coast to coast on a whimsical rail journey across America. The Trains travel from New England to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge with stops along the way to see New York City, Washington DC, Dallas, and the Southwest including the Grand Canyon and the Garden of the Gods. CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR AT THE STAR IN FRISCO

November 22nd-December 21st

The Dallas Cowboys will host the third annual Christmas at The Star in Frisco beginning November 22nd-December 21st. This is a FREE family event. Every Friday and Saturday at 6pm on the Tostitos Championship Plaza there is a 20 minute show that includes the tree lighting, a holiday performance by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, dancers, drumline, Rowdy, Santa and special guest appearances from Dallas Cowboys players. One Cowboys Way Frisco, TX 75034

DALLAS HOLIDAY PARADE – DOWNTOWN DALLAS

Come watch the city’s biggest one day event with festive floats, bands, balloons, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The parade begins at 10am at Commerce and Houston St and lasts 2 hours. During weekends in December the beach is busy with holiday activities! It all kicks off on December 7th with a light up parade, tree lighting, fireworks, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause. HOLIDAY AT THE ARBORETUM – DALLAS

Holiday at the Arboretum features a 30-foot tall tree at the center of the gardens, as well as the magnificent The 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit with 25-foot-tall Victorian-style gazebos depicting scenes from the traditional carol. DALLAS ZOO LIGHTS

Once the animals retire for the evening, the Dallas Zoo transforms into a winter wonderland. They have over one million twinkling lights illuminating Zoo North throughout the holiday season. Thanksgiving night – New Years Eve

Gather the little ones and get ready to drive through this 2 mile path adorned with 4 million lights. Half way through the drive you can park and visit Holiday Village where Santa will be waiting your arrival! Concessions, rides, and a gift shop are also part of the village. There is no additional charge for any of the rides. This year they are also adding a holiday show! You can purchase tickets ahead of time online. This is one of the best times to visit Six Flags Over Texas (in my personal opinion)! The park is glowing with lights, hot chocolate is waiting to warm you up,s’mores stations are set up, and wait times for rides are minimal. Live music, Santa, and a snow hill are all a part of the fun! Note: some of the attractions are weather depending and may cost extra. Reservations are required for visiting with Santa.
