Have a fun-filled day with family and friends by visiting Dinosaur Park. Kids will have fun playing among giant dinosaurs that show skin and color variations, while learning to appreciate how they looked when they were alive.

You’ll see life-size dinosaurs ranging in size from the 2-foot long Compsognathus to the 123-foot Diplodocus, the longest dinosaur that ever lived. As you walk through a tree-lined nature trail the dinosaurs sit back from the trail, situated among plants, trees, and rocks. This makes it so easy to imagine real dinosaurs in a natural environment. Here’s Everything You Need to Know About Dinosaur Park in Texas:

The COOLEST Dinosaur Park in Texas

Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek is an educational and fun place, where everyone can learn about these majestic animals that ruled our earth for over 150 million years. Let your imagination run wild at this Central Texas dinosaur park where giant lizards roam.

Other activities include a fossil-dig for kids, playground, picnic area, and a fun Dinosaur Store stocked with a variety of gifts sure to please any dinosaur fan! There is just so much to see and do at this Texas dinosaur park.

What To See and Do at Dinosaur Park

Walk through the nature trails and see life-size dinosaur replicas. The dinosaurs were recently refurbished so they look even more awesome if you’ll go right now. If in season, you may also see wild rabbits, lizards, roadrunners, and some of the largest stick-insects ever!

You can dig for ancient dinosaur fossils!

Have fun uncovering ancient “fossils” at the shaded fossil dig. The fossils aren’t actually real, but kids won’t know any better. Adults will enjoy kids discovering a love of science while taking a much needed break.

What I love about this fossil dig is that kids can sift through sand in the shade, because this area is covered. That is so important during the hot summer here in Texas!

You can have a Dinosaur Park Birthday Party!

The outside covered picnic area can be reserved for birthday parties in 2-hour time slots for a booking fee of $25.00.

Imagine a super cool dinosaur themed birthday party complete with life-size realistic dinosaurs. Be sure to invite family and friends because this will be a birthday kids won’t soon forget!

Go on a Field Trip to Dinosaur Park!

Finally, Field Trips to The Dinosaur Park are so much fun, students don’t even realize they’re actually learning! You’ll need to call the park ahead of time to plan your field trip. The people at Dinosaur Park are well accustomed to school field trips and can give you helpful guidance to make your next field trip go off without a hitch.

Tips and information for a great visit:

  • It’s a self-guided walking adventure.
  • We have only three restrooms on site.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes (instead of sandals).
  • We recommend packing only water (no juice or sodas) to avoid attracting bees.
  • Wear sunscreen, hat, and/or insect repellent if desired.
  • During hot days, bring extra drinking water.
  • Trash your trash. Please help keep the park looking natural.
  • Take only pictures and memories.
  • Stay on the trail. Potentially harmful plants and little critters do live out here in the country.
  • Finally, No climbing, touching or throwing rocks at the exhibits.
