Y’all Aboard! Whether you’re a proud Texan or a lucky visitor, we know there are plenty of great things to do all over the state of Texas. The only thing that isn’t fun about Texas Travel? All that drive time! No worries though, because a huge solution is coming soon thanks to the new Texas High Speed Train!

If you love Texas Travel, check out this spot in wine country!

From Laredo to funky Fort Worth, there’s always unique events and great food to try out when visiting Texas!

Anyone who has done some Texas traveling will tell you, getting from major city to city can be rough. Have you ever tried to get out of Houston during rush hour?!

That is why Texas Central is working on bringing a high speed train from Houston to Dallas. Here is everything you need to know about the Texas High Speed Train:

Texas Travel Is Getting An Upgrade

Texas Central has a dream of cutting down drive times for travelers all across Texas! This means that your typical four or five hour drive can become as short as one and a half hours!

No more sitting in traffic trying to visit your favorite city. Day trips to Houston may be in your future, so get ready. Travel is going to be so much more enjoyable once this dream is a reality – and it could start as early as 2021!

What Cities Will The Texas High Speed Train Serve?

The train will have stops in Houston, Dallas, and the Brazos Valley. This will connect three major areas throughout Texas and cut down on time spent commuting for travelers!

This is a dream for Texans who want to grab dinner in one of the other main cities or just want to spend a weekend in Houston without driving for half a day!

The Texas High Speed Train will also allow you to really take in all the beautiful landscapes that Texas has to offer in the comfort of a spacious seat!

Leg room has been a huge talking point as Texas Central talks up the design of the high speed train.

Texas Train Features:

  • Low emissions per passenger mile
  • Eco-friendly
  • Windows that are twice the size of the ones you’d have on a plane
  • Speeds that cut down drive time by hours
  • Sleek and clean interiors to maximize your travel experience
  • Rows of seats in pairs – no more awkward middle seats
  • Almost a foot of extra leg space when compared to the average Coach flight
  • Reclining seats that you can relax in comfortably
  • Fully ADA accessible, including a spacious center aisle for wheelchairs and accommodating restrooms
  • Various comfortable seating for guests with service animals to enjoy

First Look At The Texas Train

You can take a look at what the projected interiors of the high speed train will be on the Texas Central official website!

The outlines show large windows, spacious leg room, and large aisles to make getting from place to place within the train easy.

Texas Central has taken every action possible to design a train that is comfortable and accommodating to all Texans!

Check out some of these awesome designs of the upcoming train!.

When Will The Texas Train Be Completed?

Texas Central is still in the early stages of design and planning. The released first look shows what they hope will be the blueprint for building the train in 2021.

It is not known yet exactly how long it will take to make the Texas High Speed Train a reality, but they are working hard to make it happen!

Full Speed Ahead for Dallas Travelers!

Although we still have some time before this high speed train will be fully functional, we can’t help but plan all the trips we will be taking once its here!

This is going to be a life changing addition to Texas!
